DESCRIPTION:Miami City Ballet opens its 2026-27 season with a sparkling bill that weaves together classical brilliance\, jazzy elegance and an electrifying world premiere. \nThe program kicks off with George Balanchine’s Allegro Brillante\, a burst of technical precision and youthful exuberance that defined his neoclassical style. \nThen follows a world premiere by former MCB principal dancer Patricia Delgado\, marking a homecoming for an artist whose career is defined by her highly tuned musicality. \nThe company premiere of Jerome Robbins’ seminal work N.Y. Export: Opus Jazz ends the show with a bang. It infuses the improvisational spirit of American jazz into classic ballet vocabulary.

SUMMARY:Professional Learning at PAMM: Craft\, Memory\, and Contemporary Art
DESCRIPTION:This workshop aims to lay a foundation for educators to implement object-based curriculum into their art classrooms through exhibition-specific exercises. In part one\, PAMM teaching artists will lead educators in dialogue using strategies that support visual literacy\, critical thinking and inference-making\, and creating personal connections to art objects. Educators will explore the historical and contemporary contexts that shape material culture in the Caribbean and beyond. In part two\, art artists will lead educators in a hands-on artmaking opportunity inspired by Major’s emphasis on craft and cultural preservation. \nAll K-12 educators\, including teachers and paraprofessionals\, museum professionals\, and other informal educators are welcome to attend. Light breakfast\, lunch\, and free parking will be provided for all participants.
