Brazil vs Scotland 1974 and 2026

Coral Gables Museum will host a public viewing of the FIFA World Cup 2026 match between Brazil and Scotland. The event is presented in conjunction with “Diplomacy and The Beautiful Game,” an exhibition organized by the museum in partnership with the Consulates General of Brazil in Miami and Glasgow, and in collaboration with the Stirling Smith Art Gallery and Museum and Museu Pelé.
Before the match, guests can attend a screening of “Only a Game” (1974), a BBC documentary that follows the national teams of Brazil and Scotland in the lead-up to their World Cup meeting in Germany.
The exhibition explores the role of football in connecting people, cultures, and nations across five centuries through historical objects, artwork, and related materials.
Doors open at 4 pm. The documentary screening runs from 4:30 to 5:15 pm, followed by the live viewing of Brazil vs. Scotland at 6 p.m. The match is expected to conclude at approximately 8 pm.
