  • Lowe Art Museum Create & Connect: Family Art Workshop

    This hands-on workshop invites participants of all ages to engage with a rich variety of artistic media and creative processes inspired by artworks in the museum. Guided by an experienced teaching artist, families will create original artworks while connecting through shared discovery and artistic play. Funding made possible through the Stiefel Family Endowment Fund.

    Join Marshall L. Davis Sr. African Heritage Cultural Arts Center for a special panel moderated by Jasmine Martin, featuring artists from SUNS & SHADOWS: T. Eliott Mansa, Reginald O’Neal, Lance Minto Strouss, Mark Delmont, and curator Roscoè B. Thické III.

    Together, these voices gather in shared space to reflect on practice, memory, and legacy.

  • Mini-Me Science: Into the Wild – Everglades National Park

    Mini-Me: Into the Wild is a program offered by Frost Science throughout the year. This program aims to bring early learners ages 3-6 into the environment to create connections with the natural world and understand their place in nature. Each program will focus on a different habitat found in South Florida with hands-on activities, nature walks, storytelling, and mindfulness.

  • Bella! Q&A with director Jeff L. Lieberman

    As Kamala Harris and Nancy Pelosi lead the nation, they follow a trail blazed by pioneers like Bella Abzug. In 1970, Abzug challenged a male-dominated political system, running a grassroots Manhattan campaign that carried her to Congress. With her trademark hat and Bronx swagger, she fought for women’s financial rights, LGBTQ equality, and inclusive leadership. Using rare home movies, audio diaries, and newly discovered footage, Bella! captures a gritty, colorful era—and one woman’s sacrifice for future generations. Includes a post-screening Q&A with director Jeff L. Lieberman.

  • Don Juan: Pride and Paradise

    This Valentine’s Day Season, Maroon Isle Productions proudly presents Don Juan: Pride and Paradise, a bold, immersive musical adaptation of the classic Don Juan story, written and directed by Your Friendly Neighborhood Surinamese-American playwright Sefanja Richard Galon.The production runs February 17, 18, 19, 24, 25, 26 and
    March 3, 4, 5 at 7:00 PM, inside the intimate and atmospheric setting of Atchana’s
    Homegrown Thai (3194 Commodore Plaza, Miami, FL 33133).

    In this Caribbean musical adaptation, Don Juan hails from Jamaica and arrives in Miami on the run; having fled his marriage to the formidable Donna Elvira. Driven by desire and ego, he pursues new conquests while attempting to close a high-stakes real estate deal at Atchana’s on behalf of his powerful father, the owner of the illustrious Caribea resort group. Alongside him is his loyal best friend Sergio, who tags along not for romance, but survival, hoping the success of the deal will secure his scholarship to Yale.
